Excellence In Education was created in 1991 to serve the needs of homeschooling families and anyone else who wants creative and interesting teaching materials. We now offer a catalog of games in addition to our book catalog. Our Independent Study Program provides help and support to homeschooling families who need an umbrella school.
FUN-ED was created in 1993 by our daughters. We used games extensively in our own homeschool program and they wanted to share the fun with other families. THE GAME CURRICULUM was developed out of our experience after many requests by parents for a guide to teaching with games. Although FUN-ED is intended for everyone, we offer an array of manipulative and multi-sensory products that will be especially helpful to children with handicaps, developmental delays and "learning disabilities."
Our bookstore grew out of our love of "real books" as opposed to pre-digested text books. We search constantly for quality books and materials that are both interesting and educational at all reading levels. We believe in using quality history and science books as readers and have found a large variety of non- fiction for the early reader as well as for older children and adults. Those who prefer unit studies will find a wealth of materials from which custom made unit studies can be created. In the future you will find our package suggestions listed for many subjects.
EIE ACADEMY is a private school devoted entirely to homeschoolers. With many years of homeschooling behind us, we offer our help and expertise to younger families. Our goal is to make homeschooling "user friendly" by reducing the paperwork and the hassles to a minimum.
Excellence In Education is directed by Carolyn Forte, a credentialed teacher, and her husband Martin, who collectively have over twenty years of teaching, counseling, and homeschooling experience.
