Explode the Code 8

Explode the Code Book 8 introduces students to more complex phonetic units including suffixes and irregular endings and is ideal for students in grades 2-4. Skills are learned through a variety of encoding, decoding, and writing exercises include common suffixes and endings including: -ness -less, -ous, -or, -ist, -it, -ture, -ment, -able, -ible, -sion, -tion, -ance, -ence, -tive, -sive, -ify, -ize, -ti-, and -ci. Students will also practice combining word parts to create multisyllabic words. Three review lessons are included along with a post test.
