Additional literature passages utilized in this level (which are generally available through the library or catalogs) are Come Over to My House, "The Pocket" from The Zoo That Grew, No Roses for Harry, Abraham Lincoln, Poetry and Mother Goose Rhymes (included in The Red Book); additional read-aloud books utilized are A Tree is Nice, Little Bear, Bravest Dog Ever, The Fire Cat, Yonder, Ox-Cart Man, Corduroy, The Little Island, Billy and Blaze, Harry the Dirty Dog, Abraham Lincoln. The LLAL Student Activity Book contains student instructions for independent work, enrichment exercises such as word puzzles, analogies, logic/reasoning activities and more that are only found in the Student Activity Book.
