Have you ever wondered what happened to Maria von Trapp and her musical family? Like many of the children of my generation, I grew up loving the wonderful story of the von Trapps made popular through the film, The Sound of Music. Later, I studied more about the life of Captain von Trapp and was impressed by the principled heroism of this man. I think it is fair to say that the music and themes of family devotion and principled living communicated in the film touched the hearts of a generation.
